How was the Road Way to HTML 5 created?

HTML5 is like reinventing of the web and developers love HTML 5 as they have to develop only one application which can be shared instantly and can be deployed faster. The user experience is getting better and better. There’s a lot of HTML 5 being integrated with native applications these days.

The True Beginning

The true beginning of HTML5 was in the year 2004 where a Workshop was conducted on Web based application and Compound Documents that was focused on the future of Web Application. Although W3C had made its decision to continue working with XHTML 2.0, a group of developers from Apple, Mozilla and Opera proposed evolving HTML 4 by adding support for Web applications. Although the proposal was rejected, the group felt that their goals were the right direction for the web and they formed the Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group (WHATWG) and begin the work on what would become HTML5.

WHATWG published their first working draft still under the Web applications 1.0 in September 2005 with the intention of evolving HTML 4. In 2006 W3Cmade an abrupt about face and announced that they would work with the Web Hypertext Application Technology Working Group to evolve HTML5 rather than continuing with XHTML. The specification was renamed as HTML5 and W3C created the first working draft of the new specification in 2007. Since then W3C and WHATWG have maintained separate but almost identical specifications releasing new drafts incrementally.

The first draft of HTML5 was written and introduced by Ian Hickson but changes are still coming. Experts say that HTML5 is continually evolving technology that will never have ‘THE END’

In 2008, the editor of HTML5, Ian Hickson gave a now famous interview with Tech Republic where he laid out his vision for the timeline of HTML 5. By Hickson’s estimation HTML5 would issue a Last Call in 2009, issue a Candidate recommendation around 2012 and finish testing around 2020. Now the real eye brow raiser was Ian stating he envisioned HTML5 reaching Recommendation status in 2022. This statement surprised everyone. Giving a sheer hope of the HTML5 specification and the development length of the other specs in the past, Hickson’s comment shouldn’t have surprised anyone, however there is actually quite a bit of difference between the release of a specification as a W3 recommendation and the adoption of the specification by user agents.

The public interest in Hire HTML5 Apps Developer has been constantly increasing over the years but exploded in the later part of 2009 and ended in 2010. Strong pushes by Apple and Google support HTML 5 have dramatically sped up the interest and the adoption of many HTML 5 features.

We are now in 2013, so why should we lag behind? Go for the HTML5 Advantage as this buzzing technology is immensely growing day by day and being availed by major websites while there are few who have still not realized its importance.
